JBBA is excited to offer recreational and Competitive Divisions for our Machine Pitch, Minors, and Major Leagues this season. We realize that as we have grown that we serve players who are seeking different experiences for their baseball season. We want to be able to offer a great experience for all players no matter what skill level they are at. Here is some information to help you choose which is right for your player:
Recreational - This is meant for those players who may be new to the game or who's skills are still developing as they learn the game. This is best for those players who are looking for a low pressure season and who are here to learn and have fun!
Competitive - Our competitive division is for those players who have an advanced skill set in the areas of throwing, hitting, fielding, catching, and baseball IQ. Players will face higher competition to help them to further develop their baseball skills.
All players who select to be in our competitive division will need to come to a tryout to make sure they have the right skill level to enjoy their season. If coaches feel they may not be ready or they have safety concerns your child may be placed in our recreational division for the season.
Does my child need to play all-stars or advanced baseball to be in the competitive division?
No**. While most of the players who play advanced baseball or all-stars will be in our competitive division, it is not a requirement to be on one of those teams to be able to play in our competitive division.
**Please note our Majors Competitive Division will be limited to All-Star players in that division only due to the smaller size of the league.
